A Dream Within a Dream
I close my eyes and there you are,
A dream within a dream.
You are alone,
Yet watched by a thousand angels.
I run towards you,
As if chasing a shooting star.
I join our love story and we hug in twirls,
Scattering shimmers across the dark night.
Together, we pin our dreams on the universe’s canvas,
For others to stargaze at them for all eternity.
Dreams of true love.
Dreams of wanderlust.
Dreams of bliss.
But like the seasons change,
This dream, too, is coming to its end.
As I leave our splendorous spring,
For the frost of reality.
Forgive me if I slip away, my darling,
But I promise it won’t be too long until…
You become a dream within my world.
