In Your Eyes

All my life, I’ve laid hushedly as a pressed flower, hidden between the pages of my books. Sometimes my stories tease my curiosity, luring me out into the ether.

I seek these stories… hidden amongst a field of swaying flowers, on empty swings by roaring oceans, and between library shelves, in romantic castles, swimming under waterfalls, or laying under a night full of dancing auroras.

Such stories reveal themselves only if you travel far enough to find them. And perhaps a day shall come when one of these stories rewards you, for what’s a fairy tale worth if we can’t experience it once in our lifetime?
.

I find you there, wandering as a free spirit and lost amongst nature’s exquisite paintings. Your eyes have specks of nature painted on them.

In your eyes, I drift into aquamarine oceans, emerald forests, and a smattering of stardust. I see landscapes of possibilities painted before me. I close my eyes and I see so many beautiful stories, yearning to be told.

And so, I surrender to you.

For I am ready to live my own story too.
